Whisky Tasmania Pty Ltd was established in 1999 by milk products manufacturer, Betta Milk Pty Ltd. , Betta Milk is a 50 + year old company that has produced fresh dairy products sold in the Australian Island state of Tasmania. Tasmania is regarded as having the cleanest water and air found anywhere in the world. At the distillery we manufacture single malt whisky, vodka and whisky cream. The ingredients for the whisky and vodka primarily barley and cream for the whisky cream product are all sourced from this clean environment. Made out of nothing but Tasmanian malted barley, pure Tasmanian water and yeast, our whisky is triple distilled and then matured for the required minimum 3 years in American white oak barrels. Bottled at 46. 2% alc. / vol. Our original single malt whisky has not been chill filtered and contains no ARTIFICIAL COLOURING. Our Southern Lights vodka is made at the Hellyers Road Distillery in Burnie from ingredients sourced right here in Tasmania. We use water from rain clouds swept in from the freezing Southern Ocean, our barley grows in fields flanked by wilderness. Our cold grain vodka is distilled using a pot still process which retains most of the delicate flavour and aromatic elements. It is charcoal filtered then bottled at 42% Alc. / Vol.
