Established in 2011 we at PGE Solutions, provide HALON and ODS recovery and recycling throughout the Kingdom Of Saudi Arabia, the Middle East, and Asia, which meet current standards set out by the Montreal Protocol, ASTM - D7673-10, ISO - 7201 - 1 (1989) Mil Spec - DTL -38741A -1988 for HALON 1211, ASTM D 5632 - 08 Type 1, ASTM D 5632 - 08 Type 2, ISO - 7201-1 (1989) for HALON 1301, and GOST standard for HALON 2402. After recycling, all our HALONs are banked and offered for sale to our customers. We also provide our customers with full laboratory certificates.
As the production of HALONS and most of ODS has now ceased in accordance with the Montreal Protocol, it is essential to recycle HALONS to be used within critical applications. There are some applications which no suitable alternatives these are where there is no other fire fighting application that can be used, and as there has not been a direct 1:1 replacement for HALON created to this date, there is no alternative but to use HALON in these critical applications. This is why we recycle HALON back to its original condition so it is as effective as it was when it was first produced.

The principal uses of common ozone depleting substances (ODSs) in Saudi Arabia and other GCC countries arise from three key commercial and industrial applications as follows:
1-Halon gases used in industrial and commercial overhead fire suppression systems and in chemical fire extinguishers.
2-Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) or Freon gases used in air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
3-Hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs) used in industrial processes as propellant and fire suppression gasses and liquids and in cleaning solvents.
Note that, Pan Gulf Environmental Solutions is the only company based in the Middle East that works to current standards and requirements for the recycling and reprocessing of HALONS, R11 and R12 to the purity required for destruction.
