Green Shadow Group is one of the rising group of company in Bangladesh. The company started its activities in 2010 named Green Shadow Properties Ltd by- 1994 company act. The company started its work with only one project. Now it is become a Group of companies. Green Shadow Group consists of Green Shadow Properties Ltd, Green Shadow Land Development Ltd, Green Shadow Agro, Prachin Samber & Green Shadow Foundation.
Green Shadow Group came into being in 2009. It incorporated as private limited company with authorized share capital of 50.00 crore. But its growth of total asset has been raised up over 100.00 crore by this time. For the smooth implementation along with other associate concerns of this group is involved in construction and development of various isolated and integrated housing projects
Selling Arrangement:
Export of garments and fabrics are normally made through buying houses. Buying houses representing foreign principals now operating in Bangladesh in most of the cases. Some buying houses also maintain overseas offices. Besides, the marketing system of various type of garments in the world market is done through bilateral negotiations between buyers and sellers. The exporters also market their products through appointed agents in the different countries. They also direct contact with the international buyers through personal visit or correspondence over telephone, telex, fax or by participation in the international fairs, exhibitions, etc. The sponsors of the proposed project have proposed to follow the existing marketing system and also try to obtain job orders from the buyers. However, the sponsor will be required to arrange direct orders from foreign buyers or their representatives at Dhaka. Besides, attempt should also be made by the sponsors to procure export orders through different buying houses operating in Bangladesh.
Product Quality:
In the export market supply of quality product is considered to be prime determinant for successful marketing of the product. It is generally believed that the buyers do not sacrifice quality for the sake of price. As such, quality of the product must be ensured to compete in the export market. The sponsors of the project have to remain always conscious about the quality, design etc. of the fabrics and garment. To produce quality products they are required to use proper imported and local raw materials, right type of machinery and to employ experienced and skilled personnel. The quality control section of the project must be equipped with the required and necessary quality control equipment so that at every stage of production quality of the product may be ensured.
Product Pricing:
Next to quality, product pricing plays an important role in the successful marketing of the product. The product must be competitive price-wise along with the proper maintenance of quality. Determination of output prices depends, among others, on the raw materials pricing. While fixing the prices, the existing market price structure of the home country as well as the foreign countries should be taken into consideration so that the price so fixed must be competitive and acceptable to the buyers. The sponsors should also be remaining vigilant to adjust/change the price structure with the changing price level. As such, to make the product price-wise competitive, the price level should be fixed to push the product for attaining the requisite market share of the project.
The price of products varies depending upon their size and design. Export orders for garment may be procured either on FOB or CM (Cutting and Making) basis. Both the practice exists in the market. The FOB price and CM charge normally depend on the design and size of the product. In case of exports/operation on CM basis, the materials will be supplied by the buyers/importers. CM includes cutting, stitching, washing, ironing, button holding, packing and forwarding up to the port.
