Amix Salvage and Sales Ltd. Was incorporated in 1971. Amix has been in the salvage industry for over 30 years and is the largest scrap metal recycler in British Columbia. The 16 acre facility is located on the Fraser River in Surrey, British Columbia. Amix owns and operates barges, tugs (through related companies) and an inventory of specialized scrap handling equipment. This allows us to manipulate and move thousands of tons of material quickly and efficiently by truck, rail and sea. Amix's salvaging expertise and resources provide a valuable service to communities throughout British Columbia. The Surrey facility collects, sorts, and processes scrap metal for recycling and resale as well as provides other services for the salvage industry. We operate a fleet of highway trucks, mobile and fixed car crushers and recycle over 20, 000 automobiles per year. We service the greater Vancouver area with self-loading and roll-off container trucks with approximately 100 containers distributed throughout the Lower Mainland. We also carry a large inventory of used good quality steel, pipe, plate, and I-beam for resale. With 30 years experience, Amix is a salvage industry leader in dismantling and demolition projects. We have worked with various private and government agencies on large projects which include the dismantling of mines, mills, pipe lines, towns and drilling rigs. Recently we contributed our services to the Lions Gate Bridge resurfacing project and became newsworthy after donating a piece of the well-known bridge to the North Vancouver Museum. Amix Salvage & Sales Ltd has now expanded into the western United States under the subsidiary Amix Demolition Inc. As of April 2003, we have acquired several large demolition projects in the United States. Among these projects are the dismantling of a lumber mill in Washington and two chip mills in Idaho and Oregon.
