Defence research and development Canada is an agency of the Canadian dept of national defence, providing scientific advice to the Canadian forces and external clients on a wide range of defence technologies. Drdc-atlantic is one of 5 centers operated by drdc. It employs specialists in physics, engineering, computer science, modelling and simulation, and materials science whose main mission is to provide scientific advice to the Canadian navy. Drdc-atlantic also conducts R&D on a fee for service basis, for other government departments, other governments, and industry, when our unique expertise and facilities are required, and when the work has both defence and civilian components or uses.
