Pinhead components INC was formed in 2000 to develop, manufacture, market, and sell a new locking device for recreational, commercial, and industrial applications. The initial application for this technology is a device to secure and lock the components of a bicycle to its frame. The pinhead locking skewer is an easy-to-use, effective locking device that fastens front wheel, back wheel, and seat to a bicycle frame. Pinhead lock is installed and removed only with a specially coded key that cannot be replicated or "picked". It prevents theft of these components now common in the market place, and eliminates the inconvenience of repetitive removal and replacement of these components required with the "quick release" mechanism standard on most new and existing bicycles. We now offer a three-pack which consists of a freont wheel, rear wheel, and seat locks. Our four-pack which includes the headset to lock up your stems and fork is available soon. Our u-lock should be out in august.
We have 10 distributors throughout Canada, the u. S, and Europe but are looking to broaden this distribution.
