Yiyang Zhonghai Shipyard Co., Ltd. (formerly known as Hunan Yiyang Shipyard) was reformed to a wholly state-owned company on December 16th, 2005 and became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Yiyang Rubber Plastics Machinery Group Co., Ltd. under China Chemical Industry (Group) Corporation in October 2006.
Our company has category-I production qualification and class-A design qualification of coastal and river vessels, and more than 700 employees (including 18 senior engineers and more than 80 professional technicians with intermediate titles or above). Hunan Yiyang Shipyard was built in 1953 with more than 50 years of shipbuilding history and appointed as the national key enterprise in machinery industry by the National Machinery Committee in 1958. Our company had been a designated manufacturer of full-hydraulic cutter suction dredgers of No. 6 Machinery Department, and later was a key local manufacturer of engineering ships for the Ministry of Communications.
