Chengdu Global Special-Glass Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Global Group - Wuliangye Group, and is engaged in the production and marketing of glass insulators.
Located in Longquanyi National Economic and Technological Development Zone in Chengdu, our company covers an area of 268.1mu. Glass insulator manufacturing is one of the pillar industries of Global Group, which introduced advanced glass insulator manufacturing technology from Germany, Italy and France. In 2007, we established the automation product line which took the lead domestically. The production line produces 2 million pieces of glass insulators which include standard types of 70-550KN, anti-pollution types of 70-550KN, aerodynamic types of 70-240KN, umbrella types of 70-300KN and bell types of 160-550KN. Our products are widely used in high voltage lines of 10KV-1000KV, EHT transmission lines and UHV transmission lines.
Our insulator has already passed the technical evaluation by the insulator expert group of China Electricity Council. The manufacturing conditions, techniques, equipment and testing conditions of our company conform to the relevant national stipulations and the overall technical properties of our products have reached the domestically advanced level.
Our products strictly comply with international standards of IEC 60383 and IEC 60305, national standards of GB/T1001 and 1-2003 and GB/T7253-2005, DL/T812-2002 standards and the enterprise standards.
In 2008, our company invested 1 billion RMB in the introduction of the production lines from Germany. The production lines are able to produce 4 million pieces of glass insulators annually. Our company has our own glass insulator R&D center, which is committed to the research and development of new products in order to further meet the demand of the power industry.
