Nidaplast honeycombs is the world leading company for polypropylene honeycomb structures used in the composites. Nidaplast honeycombs was the first company to manufacture polypropylene honeycomb and since it has developed for more than 15 years an advanced material. This material has already proven its high qualities in resistance, stiffness and lightness on very different applications from building engineering to industrial parts. The open faces of the nidaplast honeycombs are covered with a flexible non-woven polyester fabric and a plastic film.
As the others cores, our products are used for structural applications for sailing boats or motor boats. Sandwich panels using nidaplast are placed in the decks, the cabin floor, the roofs, the bulkheads and the furniture. It is mainly used to replace monolithic (single grp), balsa, PVC foam or plywood. This economical solution allows saving a large weight on the whole boat structure. It also absorbs most of the vibes and it insures sound damping
