We now have a team of 90 local service representatives covering every province in the country, a network of more than 14,000 towing professionals covering Canada and the United States, a head office team based in London, Ontario to support our members, and relationships with such leading companies as American Home Assurance, Choice Hotels and Hertz. DAA is a proud supporter of MADD Canada (Mothers Against Drunk Driving).
Central to our success has been DAA's dedication to having local service representatives in place to help new members select the services that best fit their needs and to provide a local contact to assist in times of trouble. And our representatives return each year to meet with our members to make sure that our services continue to best serve their needs. This commitment to quality personalized service is what has created an exceptionally strong bond between DAA and our members. In fact, many of our members have been with DAA for more than a quarter century.
In addition to marketing our services under our own name, DAA provides assistance services to large corporations under their branding. This corporate work provides a terrific outsourcing solution for our clients, and allows us to get the economies of scale that keep the cost of our services attractive to all of the members who we serve.
As times continue to change, so do we. DAA began as a roadside assistance company, providing our members with a battery boost, tire change or tow. We then added travel assistance to help our members plan their trips and to protect them in case of a medical emergency out-of-province. And we added accident insurance to protect our members financially worldwide, in their cars and beyond.
We're not done yet. In late 2004 DAA was acquired by four Canadian business professionals who have rededicated DAA to expanding the company from its successful core business. DAA has expanded our assistance services to include Home Assist, Legal Assist and ID Theft Assist. These new products, like our Roadside and Accident Assist products, are designed to make life easier for our Members today. We have added local sales and service talent in the Maritimes, Quebec, Ontario and the West. And we moved our Home Office into new quarters in London with upgraded phone and data systems to allow us to continue to deliver excellent service to our Members 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
