Quarry is situated at Otoase, a village near Nsawam in the Eastern Region of Ghnan. The rock type is complex granite of varoius textures, mineralogy and colour. The granite polishes well and has excellent engineering properties. It could therefore be used as ornamental stone or crushed to produce chippings. The Otaose village granite deposit is biotite granite. The rock occurs as a massive hill behind the village and can be developedinto a quarry to producenot only crushed aggregate for the construction

The rock mass within the concession area is estimated at over
30,000,000m3. This is the rough estimation volume above the 600 foot contour.

The life span of the project dapending on conservative production ratesof 150,000m3 per annum is 200years. Higher production rates will reduce the life span of the project pro rata.
