SP Cinema Ltd was founded in May 2003 with sole purpose the exclusive wholesale distribution of movies in VHS & DVD in the Greek market, as well as services and technologies related to Video Clubs. Following market needs and the technology advancements in order to offer an immediate and well-informed channel toward its customers creates the website.
After establishing its presence in Home Entertainment and comprehending the real needs of the market, in 2004 assumed the representation / development of a chain of Video Clubs under the brand name "Movieland" for the region of Southern Greece. Through franchising method and with the cooperation of the German group "Videostore" creates a network of automatic movie rental points differentiating between the classic stores of competition.
In November 2004 starts a cooperation with Playhouse International as an exclusive representative in Greece and Cyprus for specific labels. The dynamic presence and promotion of the products in the Greek market in conjunction with the reevaluation procedure of the distributors of Playhouse International for Europe, had as a result not only the continuation of the cooperation between the two companies but also the representation of all the labels / rights and future partnerships of Playhouse International. The new contract of distribution reconfirms the commitment of SP Cinema to offer a full range of products and high quality services to its customers. Furthermore, reconfirms its dynamic presence and its establishment in the market of Greece and Cyprus.
In 2006 having extended the sphere of its activities, SP Cinema moves in new facilities in order to meet the increased demands of product handling and management.
