PI industries Limited originated in 1961 from a public limited company, Mewar Oil & General Mills Ltd.which was established in 1946. The business of pesticides was undertaken through a division called 'Pesticides India'. In order to reflect its new varied businesses, the Company's name was changes to PI Industries Limited (PIIL) in 1992-93.The years 1974-75 saw PIIL grow into a manufacturer of basic pesticides and extention of marketing across the nation.
