Our major work locations are in remote and difficult North Eastern parts of India where large groups of small and marginal farmers/co-operatives have been associated with us since long. We have grouped these small and marginal farmers in SHGs (Self Help Groups) and have been supporting them with improved planting material for various medicinal crops. Besides, we also train them on Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) for better productivity and quality produce and teach them value addition/on farm processing at cottage scale for better income generation.The produce thus obtained is further processed and subjected to Product Development (mainly dietary supplements and bio-cosmetics ) . This way, our expertise is extended not only to large and medium industries but to small entrepreneurs as well to upgrade and expand their business horizons to sustain the global competitionCurrently THBP has strength of 600 farmer families engaged in cultivation of approx. 3000 hectares of Medicinal Plants on contract. The company intends to increase the acreage by inducting 500 more farmer families holding approx 1000 hectares of land in three major states of North Eastern India (Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh & BTC).
