Idehnegar

Relying on the investment of a few IT experts, Idehnegar was founded in 1370 (1991) as a limited company. Since then, as a prestigious and pioneering company it has been actively playing a key role in the country's IT industry. During its early years, the broad scope of activities included a vriety of hardware and software but later on gradually turned towards more specialised area of the Internet and network activities. Designing and developing a number of ambitious products and services such as Optical Character Recognition (OCR), Geographical Information System (GIS), electronic cards for answering machines along with managing and implementing several major projects both, in public and private sectors, are indicators of its perseverent and able managers. Starting a BBS network in 1371 (1992) and turning it into the largest one in the country can be regarded as a turning point and the basis of promoting the Internet services in Iran. This way, because of the diversity and sophistication in the Internet and network activities, the company has mainly focused on this area of IT technology. At present, Idehnegar, with six sites in Tehran and similar sites in Mashhad, Karaj, Gorgan, Ghom, Kerman, Zahedan and Boshehr obtaining ISP and ICP permits, has become one of the most important Internet and Intranet companies in Iran.
