Ocean Harvest Technology (OHT) is an Irish limited company formed in 2005 with its main manufacturing, distribution, sales and administration headquarters in Galway, Ireland. Other manufacturing centres are in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam and New Brunswick, Canada and sales offices in Singapore, Hong Kong and Sydney. OHT has created a variety of seaweed based formulas that replace the synthetic ingredients found in a variety of agricultural feed ingredients.
These proven and proprietary formulas represent a breakthrough in the aquaculture and pet food industry, being the first 100% sustainable marine sourced ingredient formulas of their kind. Many of these synthetic based additives such as colorants, antibiotics and preservatives end up in farmed salmon. An urgent need has arisen for cost-effective sustainable and natural ingredients and OHT is now first to market with a range of formulas that fully addresses industry needs. After more than seven years of development and testing including extensive open sea trials during 2008-2010 OHT and additional trials in pig, sheep horses and shrimp, has created and brought to market this seaweed based commercial feed ingredient, OceanFeed. Additionally OHT has developed OceanFeed-Shrimp to address specific disease and overall health issues associated with shrimp aquaculture.
