OMV Srl is founded in 1969 under the incentive of Mr Andrea and Franco Venturini, with the aim to build and repair special machine for rolling mills dedicated to production of rebars for constructions, at the time one of the main industrial activity of Brescia. The continuous professional and entrepreneurial
growth, inflected with the task towards innovation and risolution of customers problem that is distinguish mark of OMV's productions since its beginning, have carried the firm to a fast expansion and in few years it's become a wellknown name not only for local firm but for main italian industry, in the field of binding machines for rolling mill, the actual core-business of OMV. Another step in our growth arrive at the beginning of the 80's, when the firm arriva at the new establishment of Bovezzo: it increase the productive capacity and gives to
the firm the chance to compete at international level: yet few time will arrive the first international order, with order destind to important rolling mills in Spain, Jordan and Mexico.
The 80's were the definitive launching pad for our firm's development on international market, that today is the main target of our productions. In this period are realized the first machines of big dimension, thought and projected
for hard and permanent use (a coil compactor for a Greek customer) and the realization of system for the evacuation of bundles, completely automatized. Introduction of CAD design system (1991) give OMV the chance to other development on projectual side and in few time were intruduced high-resistance knot (known as candyknot, for its aspect) and many opther important structural modification on all the production, always aimed by the need to satisfy customer requirement. In 1995 OMV recieved its first quality certification under ISO standard.
The growth of jobs increase with the importance of OMV's name, now known worldwide, as represented by important order from Brazil and the first machines installed in China, while the cooperation with the most important producers of plan (Siemens-Vai, Danieli, Lagunartea, Kock, NCO, CVS Makina) goes on.
Last innovation, aided by introduction of a 3D system of design, tried to set our machines more functional: in the last years were introduced "light" version of our machine and were modified some details in order to increase machine's resistence at the wear or maintenability.
Today OMV, now driven by founders'sons, is a versatile reality and open at innovation, customer oriented and able to adapt itself and its production to the unsettled productive needs of Third Millennium.
