Gianluca Mech is the only heir of a centuries-old herbal tradition which saw his family at the centre of the arts and secrets of phytotherapy.
The well-known galenic form called Decottopia ,the therapy of the ten plants , dates back to the year 1500, when the Protestant minorities of the Piedmontese Langhe, who were geographically and socially isolated , could only resort to nature and to their ingeniousness for healing. Like an ark which travels through time, Decottopia reached us through the generations of the Bonardos, the Balestras and the Mechs, with an invaluable treasure of tradition and experience of those who were not able to cure disease by means of the isolated active principles and so tried to take care of health.
Gianluca Mech soon the scene of the family business, working and studying at the same time and take over control of the company.
With the teachings of his father Giovanni and of his grandmother Adelaide and thanks to the long experience gained in the segment of nutrition and phytotherapy, Gianluca was soon able to give fresh impetus to the company, exporting his products outside Italy (the Group, which embraces the trademarks Balestra e Mech and Nature Fashion, has branches in Paris, Brussels and Boston).
Gianluca Mech is the creator of the Tisanoreica Method, an innovative dietary system elaborated and tested in conjunction with the Tisanoreica Study Centre and with the Division of Anatomy of the University of Padua. The Tisanoreica diet is not merely a product but a novel approach to slimming, an itinerary leading to beauty, to good health and to wellness which earned not only the trust of ordinary people but also that of the Italian and international celebrities who turned to Mech for advice on slimming and on how to regain wellness (among them, Valeria Marini, Ornella Muti, Silvio Berlusconi to mention but a few).
