Lem Carni was established in 1971. Following twelve years of fundamental
experience, the company decided to enter the world of catering, fully aware of the
high and constant quality criteria this sector demands. The company also realised the importance for the caterer of being able to offer a variety of products, and focused its quest for the best selected meats on over twelve countries throughout the world. A quest which entailed a rigorous selection of certified partners from whom to choose the most prized cuts to offer on the market. Germano d Oro prides itself on promoting the free expression of each and every talent, listening to chefs and seeking to meet their needs, including customised supplies of meat cuts. Already cleaned and portioned, the selected product can be stored for immediate use. The quality of Germano d Oro products is guaranteed by an impeccable service, with daily departures of specialised transport capable of reaching any destination. All the Italian Beef and the Beef , produced in LEM , are slaughtered and Certified with HAHAL methods.

In 2006 the Minister of Agriculture approved the Lem Carni S.p.a. guidelines which regulate the breeding of its own livestock.The guidelines, formulas and production methods are registered with a notary. Lem Carni S.p.a. and the Magnificent Rector of the university Alma Mater Studiorum of Bologna have enjoyed a relationship of reciprocal scientific interest for many years in the butchering of beef cattle.
On the head of cattle forming part of the Lem Carni S.p.a. controlled production process,
professors and students enrolled at the faculty of Veterinary Science may - at their completediscretion - visit the production process, beginning with the live animal
and finishing with the sides of beef ready for consumption.
The students also carry out various analyses and other activities necessary for their studies, while the company obtains and declares top quality veterinary checks.
Lem Carni S.p.a. manages all the production phases of the IT B334G CE slaughterhouse, an integral part of the University of Bologna.
