MT. Kenya Nuts and Agricultural Commodities Company Ltd is a company in Kenya wholly owned by embu farmers co-operative society ltd and dealing in processing of macadamia nuts. Its located in the MT. Kenya slopes around the game reserves.
The nuts are collected from the local farmers. Our market is both local and abroad. The nuts are readily available at the factory at good prices for international market either inshell, raw kernels as well as salted dry roasted. The monthly capicities are as below:
I) inshell - 100,000 kgs
Ii)kernels - style 0 - 10,000 kgs
Style I - 10,000 kgs
Style II - 5,000 kgs
Style iii- 5,000 kgs
Iii)roasted -20,000 kgs
Iv)shells - 50,000 kgs
Packaging: Kernels vacuum packed with nitrogen gas flushing in 8kg aluminium foils.
Inshell nuts packed in 60kg gunny bags.
Payment terms: - all goods sold exworks,50% with order and 50% on collection.
Machinery: - the machinery used is of australian origin with current technology in cracking, grading, packaging.
Certification: - our products meets both the local and international quality standards as certified by, a)kenya bureau of standards(kbs), b)sgs, c)cotecna d)kelphis.
