SKYKIWI CO,Ltd (SKYKIWI) was formed in July, 1985. Its main purpose was to sell, install, and support an application package known as SDS, which runs on the IBM AS/400 mid-range computer system. At the time of the company formation, SDS Ltd was authorised by IBM NZ Ltd to become an IBM Authorised Remarketer, which means SKYKIWI Ltd could sell and support IBM mid-range computers on behalf of IBM NZ Ltd. SKYKIWI is a member of the US based Velocity Group Inc. along with three sister companies. Velocity Group Inc. is a group of business units offering a diverse range of Information Technology services, solutions and applications.The original staff of SDS Ltd numbered seven, and this has now grown to more than thirty. While reaching for the sky, we do not lose sight that we first need a stable platform for growth. SKYKIWI believes that - while technology is fine - it is our customers who are important. We know them by name, we work with them on a daily basis. We become an integral part of their business.
