Was established in Nigeria in 1981 and was conveyed with legal responsibility as a lifting partner with Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) It has Exploration License (EL) Oil Prospecting License (OPL) Oil Minning Lease (OML) and Production Sharing Contract (PSC) . Based on Joint Venture Operation, Exploration and Drilling activities, FOBM enters into special arrangement with the Nigerian Government taking care of Government projects and programmes not catered for in the official Government budget, FOBM became eligible for extra large quantities of Crude oil for marketing yearly.
FOBM receives permit to export Crude oil yearly from Ministry of Commerce, authority to sell from NNPC based on joint venture partnership agreement.
