The bags are woven by Master weavers of the North Peru region using natural color grown cotton (the color you see is the color of the plant itself), a indigenous to the foothills on the Peruvian Pomac Forest. This art form is handed down through the generations and is unique to Peru. The bags are not made in a factory, the artists work from home in their villages.
Subtle differences in size, shape, weave, and finishes are part of the beauty of this handmade product. These luxurious yarns are never dyed. Pure enough for a babys skin. A very very soft and gentle wash cloth.
