Militia conducts the effective implementation of control measures, that will assist a community or organization in minimizing the risk of loss.

VISION

Militia is well organized, highly effective, efficient, appropriate to the current requirement and expandable.

We are broadly representative, operated by highly competent and appropriately skilled, law abiding, disciplined and motivated personnel.

An ethos of accountable leadership and management exists that inspires all personnel to excellence.

We are equipped with affordable, functional and adequate equipment, support facilities and infrastructure.

The creative, unified and dedicated spirit of our members is at all times ready to fulfill our responsibilities towards all whom we serve.

Militia Trust

The Militia Trust was established in the Eastern Cape in 1999, originally to facilitate the introduction of Military Personnel, being retrenched or rationalized, into the security industry.

Our members consisted mostly of ex- SADF, Transkei and Ciskei Defence Force Members, as well as members from Mkhonto we Sizwe, and APLA.

Subsequent to those activities, Militia conducted Community Policing Projects along the Transkei Wild Coast as well as in East London, where volunteer members from communities were trained and placed into volunteer service as an executive arm of the Community Policing Forums.

Most of our members in those areas have subsequently been absorbed into the SAPS volunteer system or the Police Reserves.
