Briotriums INC. Is a specialty retailer of consumer electronics and home entertainment products in Europe. The Company offers approximately 4,000 stock keeping units (SKUs) at a range of price points representing approximately 130 brands, including a presentation of a selection of limited distribution, upscale brands and lines. Ultimate Electronics showcases its consumer electronics products in an upscale, demonstration-oriented store format, which enables customers to sample and compare features and functions of the Company's products. Ultimate Electronics also provides, home installation of consumer electronic equipment by its own technicians. In addition, it operates Fast Trak INC. An independent electronics repair company and its wholly owned subsidiary.
Briotriums operates 65 stores, including 54 stores in Germany, Italy, Spain, Romania, UK under the trade name Briotriums and 11 stores in Sweden under the trade name General Retailer. Although its stores vary in size from 14,500 to 51,000 square feet, the majority of its stores are between 23,000 and 40,000 square feet. The Company's prototype store generally ranges from 23,000 to 26,000 square feet, with approximately 60% of the square footage devoted to selling space. The remaining space is dedicated to a car audio/video installation facility, a store warehouse, general office space and, in selected stores, a service facility and extra space for deliverable products such as big screen televisions. It has nine stores under 23,000 square feet.
Ultimate Electronics' stores emphasize mid- to high-end products and feature multiple home and car audio demonstration rooms, multiple home theater settings, portable electronics displays and, in most stores, an area displaying up to 50 projection televisions. Each of its stores has displays designed to provide the customer with a full spectrum of its products upon entering the store, including the selection of the latest technology such as plasma, liquid crystal display and Digital Light Processing televisions. All of its locations offer home installation of audio, video and satellite products, as well as car audio, car satellite and mobile video installations by its own technicians.
