Bodegas Monterebro is an exclusive new project from the North-West of Jumilla in Murcia, Spain (home to some of the finest wines in the World today). The MON-TER-EBRO name comes from a combination of 3 Spanish words: Monte (mountain), Terra (earth / soil; in Catalan Spanish) and Ebro (the symbolic River Ebro). The Monterebro project and range have been born thanks to an amalgamation of highly skilled winemakers and celebrated innovators based in Jumilla, Spain; including the investment group behind Murcia Wine Club. Monterebro epitomises new-age, premium young Spanish wine. We produce 3 excellent wines: 2 reds and 1 white; all of which offer fantastic value for money and unrivalled exclusivity. 1) Monterebro Joven (a premium young red with no oak), 2) Monterebro Barrica (a premium red, produced from old vines, and oaked for 4 months), 3) Monterebro Blanco (a premium young dry white). There are not many wineries who can say that their wines are produced from the best grapes in the World. We can however. Our premium red wines are produced from what are widely considered to be the best Monastrell vineyards in the World (even compared to Bordeaux where Monastrell is known as Mourvedre). Our premium white wine also holds its own in the company of all the best Spanish whites. In contrast to other Jumilla whites; ours is skilfully produced using the very interesting Malvasia and Moscatel varietals; both synonymous with very high quality produce. As well as our key ingredients and our unique methods; we also use the newest, the highest quality and the most advanced equipment in the industry. This is to ensure highly stringent selection, treatment and aging processes which allow us to guarantee you top-end gourmet produce at extraordinary prices; year after year.
