Elegant Lanka Knitters is a fully computerised, modern, Quick Response knitting factory located in Colombo Sri Lanka. It is a joint venture with Elegant Knitting Company of Australia and has achieved Garment Without Guilt Certification by SGS.
We are serious about quality with - Quality management systems, Quality raw materials used, Quality working conditions for our staff and Quality relationships with our clients.
We use Shima Seiki computerised knitting machines in 8, 12 and 14 gauges and using the latest operational management systems for lean manufacturing. We export 100% of the production from Sri Lanka to Australia, Japan, UK and US.

We supply prestigious distributors who require the best performing knitwear available for their end clients. We only use machine washable yarns such as merino and merinoblend yarns and hold over 50 colours in stock.
We service different market segments with the same objective-
QUICK RESPONSE FASHION - with clients who want to repeat their best selling styles during the season for strategic advantage
WORK UNIFORM such as Army, Police, Ambulance, Bank, Healthcare and Security
SCHOOLWEAR such as Striped sweaters, Scarves and poly cotton Rugby Jerseys - all with small minimum production runs.

We focus on supplying clients who want reliable delivery dates and a quick response supply chain. Our clients have the strategic advantage of being able to re-order knitwear production with only a 5 week leadtime.
For example our schoolwear clients need to be able to reorder special striped sweaters when they run out of a size because the student must be in school uniform. In this way they are able to manage their purchasing to keep their stock low.
Our design team works with our clients to develop the best sweater for their market with quick sample making, colour matching and production scheduling, so that everything comes together seamlessly.
