Profile: Syphco is one of Syria's leading private pharmaceutical manufacturers, specializing in the manufacturing of human medicines and antiseptics. The company has invested vastly into the quality of its products and into the qualifications of its staff, and has managed to manifest itself as a leader in its field. Late 2003, the company completed the first stage of a USD 10 million investment, which has so far increased Syphco Pharma's production area by about 80% , and production capacity almost 5 fold. Syphco constantly strives to improve itself to cope with the increasing demands of its environment and its markets, so a new storage area and office building is now under construction to cater for the increases demand and a penicillin plant is due for construction in the near future. History: Syphco Pharma was established in 1990, and was one of the pharmaceutical pioneers in Syria. In a time when the market was mostly unregulated and unsupervised, Syphco Pharma managed to establish itself as an ethical company with high quality control standards that were self imposed. In 1999, the decision was taken to impulse the company into a New Era with the construction of an all new factory that complies to strict US GMP and world ISO standards. In early 2000, work began and the first brick was laid. After four years of hard work by a dedicated team of engineers, architects, pharmacist and laborers, a state of the art factory like no other in Syria was finally ready to produce under the strictest regulations. In 2004, the first products produced in the new factory started to enter the market, and the success exceeded all expectations. Today, Syphco Pharma's factory has become the key reference point by the Syrian Ministry of health to other Pharmaceutical companies of how such a plant should be built and run. Our Laboratories for quality control are now the most modern in the country, and we even cater for the ministry of health when needed.
