Mbasira Soap & Oil Industries Ltd is a Tanzanian private liability limited company established in the year 2001 under Companies Ordinance (Cap 212) vides a certificate of incorporation number 42389 with the primary goal of trading in agricultural produces and production of edible oil and allied products. The company is registered with the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) for Value Added Tax (VAT) with VAT registration number (VRN) 10-016695-C and is also registered as a taxpayer with Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) 101-284-247.

Vision

The vision of the company is to become one of the leading and trusted company in agricultural farming, processing, distribution and marketing (value chain development) of agricultural produces, quality edible oil, corn flour and allied products both in the domestic and export markets.

Mission

The mission of the company is to collaborate with farmers and other agricultural stakeholders in sustainable farming, processing and distribution of affordable and quality to acceptable standards agricultural produces edible oil, corn flour and allied products for economic growth of both the company and the community it serves.

Main Products and Services

Currently the company deals mainly with:

Export of farmers sunflower seeds;
Processing of crude sunflower oil;
Processing of semi refined sunflower oil; and
Production of laundry soap

The following are the near future plans of the company:

To invest in sunflower and maize farming
To invest in mass production of crude, semi and double refined sunflower oil
To invest in mass export of crude, semi and double refined sunflower oil
To invest if processing, packaging and distribution of corn flour in the east African countries and
To invest in manufacturing or importation of agricultural products packaging materials
