Our company, Akfen Industrial and Agricultural Products Import, Export and Marketing Inc. Has been established in 1987, for importing materials that are to be used in the commitments of Akfen Holding.
However, initial purposes of our company have been diversified and we began investigating exportation opportunities throughout the European market. In this context, we started to export Turkish hazelnut kernels and Oil in 1995, a commodity group for which there is a considerable demand in Europe.
As a result, the amount of the total income of our company increased considerably along with exportation operations. The numbers of total net income obtained in the years 1995,1996 and 1997 have given respectively. Accordingly, while the amount of total income was $1,390,000 in 1995, this number increased to $3,729,386 in 1996 and reached to $4,029,765 in 1997. Our goal for year 2003 is to increase our income level to $7,000,000.
