Unlike the heavy steel systems, the fire rated aluminium system is light enough in weight for ease of manufacture, transportation and installation. The aluminium system does not require sanding or painting, making the products cheaper than the steel systems which require this additional work. It is cheaper, more aesthetically pleasing and easier to fabricate.
