Techmoves is a new recruitment website looking to change the way recruitment is done.
Techmoves takes recruitment and innovation in a very serious way. The two founders, Steve Riley, Managing Director and James Davies, Business Director have over 20 years recruitment experience between them. Their experience has been gained in the commercial and automotive electrical and software arena. During the initial set up of Techmoves the common theme appeared to centre on the cost aspect in terms of recruitment that organisations and clients incur. Having worked within the industry the founders were well aware that placement fees of 15% to 20% of a candidates annual salary are common place, and usually frowned upon by hiring organisations. This is the area where Techmoves is looking to break the mould and be more innovative.
The website acts as a vacancy portal for which organisations are able to advertise their requirements, no matter how small or large for a yearly fee. Advertising on the major job internet websites can incur significant costs, for example a two week advert just for one position can be in the region of 400 pounds. Depending on the level of service required, organisations are able to take candidate responses directly, or Techmoves are able to filter the applications and using their industry knowledge only send forward those applications that are directly relevant for that position.
Any candidate that applies directly for a position and is successfully recruited the organisation will pay no placement fee. The only cost would be the yearly advertising fee. By utilising this approach it is envisaged companies could significantly reduce their overall recruitment costs.
The website www.techmoves.co.uk is targeted specifically at software / electronic candidates and those organisations that compete in this market. Many of the companies are currently UK based but there are plans to role this service out to other counties in QTR 4 2009.
