Mobile Acuity Limited began in Year 2000 as a specialty retail store in Edinburgh. The store offered a large selection of brand name accessories, designed to match the individual consumers particular mobile needs. Additionally, due to Edinburgh diverse consumer base, the store was among the first mobile retailers to offer unlocked GSM cellular phones. These phones were unique in that they expanded customer choice by avoiding carrier deals and branding, while allowing customers to use their phone with any GSM carrier, anywhere in the world.
