Production Modelling is a company that develops and sells production planning software, production scheduling software (sometimes known as Advanced Planning and Scheduling or APS) and simulation software for all business sectors. Production Modellings products are called Orchestrate (for production planning and production scheduling) and ProModel, ServiceModel, MedModel and Process Simulator, that are discrete event simulation software packages.

Production Modellings headquarters are in Coventry, West Midlands and has distributors across Europe and the Americas. The companys clients are from a diverse range of industries such as automotive, aerospace, chemical, defence, electronics, engineering, finance, food and drink, healthcare, logistics, oil, pharmaceuticals, process, retail, steel, and telecommunications. In addition the company has clients in the public sector.


The Company and History

Production Modelling was founded in 1991 and was the first European distributor for ProModel simulation software.

In 1995 Production Modelling started to develop its Orchestrate scheduling software, primarily to augment the output from simulation models and to present results in an easy to understand Gantt chart format. However, Orchestrate customers asked that the software be developed so that it could be used for day-to-day production scheduling. Production Modelling has developed the software accordingly.

Orchestrate scheduling software is currently used by thousands of customers worldwide for day-to-day scheduling, capacity planning and what-if analysis. Orchestrate has been developed to be easy to configure, use and update on a daily basis.

Production Modelling is continually moving Orchestrate forward in alignment with our customers needs, resulting in ongoing benefits for all scheduling applications.
