Design and manufacture methods for Variable Pitch Rotors. These offer better compression traits than constant pitch rotors. Variable pitch screws are usually produced by taking many passes using a simple turning tool. We have developed a method to make these parts using a formed tool. This allows the part to be made with fewer cutting passes. This reduces the machining time and costs for the manufacture of the part.
