We are a small local Liverpool Charity offering Friendship and Support to Asylum Seekers and Refugees. Our two objectives are to offer people support when in need or hardship and to provide information to the public, statutory and voluntary organisations on Asylum issues.
Our services include legal representation to OISC level 3, welfare and support advice; destitution support including limited access to housing, small grants, food and clothing;English teaching, reading groups, computer access and voluteering opportunities. We have several social programmes: allotments, cycle club, healthy eating sessions and run trips, visits and celebrations throughout the year when possible.
We feel that Asylum Seekers are one of the most disadvantaged groups in Britain today and we currently see around 5000 individuals per year.
