Menastil is the result of 4 years of testing and product development with its origins in nerve cell research. Taking note of historical uses for essential oils, it was shown that Calendula oil, Menastil's active ingredient, was effective as a topical analgesic for pain relief.
A female research assistant noted that it would be interesting to apply a diluted formulation of Calendula oil directly to the area of discomfort she experienced during her menstrual cramps. After applying this solution, she was excited to find that her cramps were relieved in about 10 minutes and the idea for an all-natural, topically applied product called Menastil had begun.
An early blend of the formula was developed and informal testing and sampling began. Approximately 6 months later, the results that came back from this informal study were astounding; a great majority of the women who had topically applied this early version of Menastil found relief from their cramps in minutes.
Based on those results, a formal clinical study was commissioned to test both the safety and effectiveness of Menastil in a regulated environment. Marshall Blum, LLC, highly recognized clinical outcome specialists, were contracted to perform a randomized, double blind, placebo-based crossover study to test the efficacy of Menastil. The results of the study, conducted under strict US Food& Drug Administration(FDA) guidelines found that Menastil provided fast and effective temporary relief from menstrual cramps in the vast majority of those women tested.
Our survey of those women who had tried Menastil in its early stages found that they had three primary concerns; first, its scent, second, its effect on sensitive skin and third, its potential to stain clothing material. Claire Ellen adjusted the early formula so that Menastil would have an even more pleasant scent and an added soothing effect on sensitive skin. Further testing found that Menastil did not stain over 15 common clothing materials found on today's market and the "stained" areas were easily removed when washed in cold water with common, bleach free, laundry detergents.
After four years of research, testing and development, this revolutionary product for women is now available directly to consumers through this website and will soon be available in retail outlets nationwide.
