International plastics was founded by owner ken minkus, who has been in the plastics distribution business since 1965. International plastics opened its doors on january 1,1990. Thirty-six years of working in the plastics distribution industry gave ken the experience necessary to start his own company. After two years of operating the business himself from an office in his home, ken hired his first employee. In mid-1992, the company moved into a small office and warehouse to allow them to better service their accounts by stocking plastic film, sheet, rod, and tube. As sales increased, international plastics hired more employees, leased additional warehouse space, expanded inventory, and invested in equipment. At the current time, headquarters offices are located 25 miles west of Seattle, Washington and our warehouse branch is located just north of los angeles, california. In 2001, we incorporated, and now do business as international plastics, a business unit of minkus plastics corporation. As with most plastics distributors, we offer a complete line of film, sheet, rod, and tube.
We stock many of the items we distribute, and if we don't have a particular item in inventory, we usually can get it within a reasonable amount of time. We make sure we have an excellent relationship with all of our manufacturing facilities. Our primary lines consist of acrylic, polycarbonate, polyester film, acetate film, vinyl, styrene, ABS, polyolefins, teflon(ptfe)and delrin(acetal);however the hard-to-find item is one of our specialties. We have facilities that can convert master rolls of films by slitting, re-rolling, sheeting, or cutting-to-size. We also provide die-cutting, tipping, and adhesive backing to almost any product. Our customer base is as varied as the geographical area we cover. Limitless. We provide plastics for a multitude of end users nationally as well as internationally.
