My scrap metal business lead me to an opportunity allowing me to expand on my passion, helping save our resources for our children, buy re-using, before recycling. A few years ago, I found myself in a position to acquire from the crude oil industry hundreds of unused and used valves of all types and sizes. Unused and used ball valves, gate valves, control valves, 316L stainless steel valves and pressure relief valves. The biggest are two 4" solid 316 SS Crosby pressure relief valves, check valves, pumps, high pressure 316 stainless steel braided hoses, butt weld fittings and flanges, among many other items that would be used in a marine, crude oil storage and tanker loading facility.
I am a small start up business in the oilfield supply industry. My oilfield inventory is considered small. The estimated value is between $900, 000 to $1, 300, 000 USD.
The scrap metal opportunity for the short term will be lucrative and long term will very lucrative. I have access to several thousand tons of scrap metal, consisting of copper, brass, aluminum, stainless steel, heavy steel, crushed autos, and uncrushed autos. In this scrap yard, are some items that are usable and have a high value, but is being sold as scrap. Here are two examples, a few steel I beams about 30 feet long and 12 inches wide. They are straight and in good condition. Another one would be a few thousand feet of 1-inch aluminum cable, no jacket and 1-inch aluminum cable with steel support.
One item is not part of the scrap sale and will be sold separately. A 10, 000 gallon steel holding tank. It was built for fuel storage and is unused, It is insulated with an aluminum jacket and some hardware attached. It was built by Chicago Iron and Steel. I do have several pictures of it, if you are interested.
I will tell you right up front, I would rather reach an agreement with one company containing both opportunities. One being the oilfield inventory. The other, . .
