Bahamas Food Services Ltd. With over 200 employees, is the largest Wholesale Food, Beverage and Supplies company in the Bahamas, selling over 4 million pounds of Food&Beverage products every month. Annual US$ Sales are in the high 8 figure range. Administered by Ben Frisch, it occupies a custom built 200,000 sq ft facility on a 112 acre property which accommodates BFS and its sister company Tropic Seafood, the largest packer and exporter of Bahamian warm water lobster tails. The state-of-the-art facilities include Frozen, chilled and dry storage as well as controlled environment storage for produce.

Nearly forty people work in sales, divided into five divisions: Retail, Foodservice, Equipment&Supplies, Out Island and Wholesale pickup. The Retail sales organization has 4 account executives,3 telemarketers,4 Store support and 2 program support staff. Foodservice has 6 sales executives and 5 telemarketers while E&S and Out Island have one sales executive and one telemarketer each and Wholesale pickup has 10 customer service assistants.

BFS has a fleet of 28 straight trucks and 12 tractor/pup trailers making daily deliveries to clients throughout New Providence Island and sends product daily to other islands in the chain as well as to Freeport on Grand Bahama. In Institutional Foodservice, it has more than a 66% market share and in 2000 began to expand its operations in the retail arena where it currently has about a 10% market share.
