Audrija was established in 1996 in a simple and humble way in the form of Audrija Handicrafts. Kamrun Nahar Awal and Md. Towhidul Ameen began the journey with the dresses of women and girls and the items for home decoration. Audrija Food Products has diversified its product base by introducing food products that are in the necessity basket of the consumers in reasonable prices and good quality. Unprecedented encouragement and support from the Bangladesh Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BWCCI) we plan to occupy export markets in countries like United Kingdom, Greece, China, Australia, and countries in the region of Middle-East. Therefore we plan to progressively increase the number of laborers involved in this industry giving priority to women empowerment. AGOR dry fish will occupy the super shops in the Bangladeshi communities abroad. Dry Fish is a traditional food item which has crossed the boundaries of the sub-continent and is now being exported in large quantities worldwide. Bangladesh has been a key player in producing and exporting dry fish to foreign markets for many decades now. Thousands of workers which include fishermen to merchants are involved in this trade in Bangladesh, a large number of them being women. However, in the past few years more factors are adding up to the limitations of this industry with the increasing tendency of using different harmful pesticides to protect dried fishes from insects and even salt is used to dry fishes quickly. With everyone becoming more health cautious, these factors have created a fear in the minds of the consumers regarding dry fish consumptions. However, fish can be sun dried and also dried using nets without the use of any harmful pesticides. We are the only large scale producers using the Box Tunnel and Ring Tunnel technology invented by the scientists of Fisheries Technology Department of Bangladesh Agricultural University located in Mymensingh.
