About 3100 years ago, people lived in misery and agony because of the emperor's tyranny. An old man was determined to dedicate himself to the betterment of the society and the wellbeing of the people. He wanted to realize this goal by helping a compassionate and just king who was not powerful at that time. When the king passed by a pond, he found the old man was fishing without a hook or lure. Besides, the fishing rod was 3 feet away from the pond water, yet, many fish were caught. The king was very surprised, and he became the old man's student after he had a deep conversation with him. This encounter between the king and the old man lay the foundation for the establishment of the Zhou Dynasty, during which <The Book of Change> was written.
The old man was named Jiang Tai gong. The fishing event started his new and magnificent career and he became the most outstanding prime minister and the originator of military strategies in Chinese history. More importantly, he established the Qi Culture which put the common people's interests and wellbeing before the kings'. This culture also carried out the policy of enabling the people to be wealthy and the country to be powerful. Among the cultures of Chinese civilization, the Qi Culture is the most identical to the western civilization. People gave him a nick name"Tai Gong" out of respect and love.
