OUR COFFEE HISTORY
Our coffee owes its origin to the hard work, dedication and determination of a whole family that has devoted itself to perfecting the product that best represents our country.
Today, we are a company with a commitment to those small farmers and their families who depend on coffee production for their survival. In the past, their income from coffee enabled them to feed their families and meet their basic needs. But times have moved on, and farmers today can no longer survive by growing coffee. They don't have enough money to invest in their land, and their old coffee plants become less productive; moreover, the price they get for their coffee is often very low.
We want many people to dream again, and it wants to work with them to make those dreams come true. We and our farmers are striving to bring you a coffee at the best price and with the best quality on the market, a fresh and perfectly-processed coffee. Our aim is to meet the highest national and international quality standards.
We and our coffee farmers have clear goals: to work together to escape from poverty, to sell more coffee and gain access to bigger, safer and more profitable markets where our product serves a real purpose, and to reach every one of you and give you the finest flavor and aroma of a delicious cup of pure Colombian coffee, brought to you through the hard toil of our people, the tireless Colombian who is ever willing to offer quality, ability and dedication and to proudly take our coffee out into the world.
SELECTION PROCESS
The main features of our coffee are the excellent presentation of the bean and its incomparable aroma and indescribable taste, since it is subjected to a strict laboratory selection process, as described below.
Granulometry Test. This test uses screens, which select beans by size; Coffee SUPREME uses only beans that are above size 18.
Strict Selection Test. This second step consists of analyzing the beans by hand and discarding those that do not classify as being suitable for Coffee SUPREME because of aspects such as size, appearance and color.
Tasting Test. Finally, the coffee is roasted and ground, and is analyzed for taste and aroma by experts who discard any coffee that has defects like ferment, low acidity, phenol or settling, which cannot be detected by sight.
IT IS NOT UNTIL AFTER THIS WHOLE ANALYSING PROCESS HAS BEEN COMPLETED THAT WE DECIDE WHAT COFFEE IS IDEAL FOR ROASTING AND WHAT IS NOT
This is why we can guarantee a top quality product with the best aroma and taste.
