Crimasa (criaderos de mariscos S. a) started shrimp production in july 1978 in the town of balao, province of guayas. Initially founded by a group of private investors, the company is among the pioneers in the shrimp production industry in Ecuador. In september 1980 crimasa openeded its own processing plant; since then, the company has overseen the processing of its entire product. In august 1981, our new labeled galapagos brand shrimp earned an "a" rating from the national chamber of commerce. Our brand then formally enteres the international market with great success.
