Ladies, Gentlemen,
although our group of companies, including the traditional hamburgers
Duncker & Trade Company founded in 1886 WG Ahrens Co. Nachf. est. 1876, Deters
and F. Krumme Sons founded in 1848, as a tea-Import & Exporters, together for
400 years there, we are so far only "insiders" know. In Hamburg constantly entertain our partners a "warehouse" with a stock of about 300, 000 KG.
This is one of our "Group" in Germany, because of the largest stock volume in the industry. Two-thirds of the quantity will be in their original boxes across Europe re-exported.
The remaining third, we supply nationwide tea stores. For smooth delivery make about 50 employees inside.
The relatively high Tea stock stems from the fact that most of us delivered quality varieties, such as "First flush Darjeeling, " in time only once a year are harvested.
Accordingly, a stock until after the new harvest is required. This is particularly true for many Chinese specialties (see the customer price list with about 600 varieties) , which we exclusively imported for customers throughout Europe and stored from climatic reasons in Hamburg.
The continued growing, Europe-wide concentration in the food industry is forcing us to switch distribution channels and expand.
The business share in the supply of Tea stores is, despite the increase in German Tea consumer, declining, and burdened by many bankruptcies.
Basically the consumer likes buying in the Tea store, where he finds an ample selection and usually between 150 to select varieties. Meanwhile, this buying fundamentally changed.
The consumer is, because of persistent unemployment and poverty
macro-economic situation, uncertain and not more willing to pay relatively high price.
Retail price increases without further payment.
The customer has become more price-sensitive and save when shopping, where he can!
One reason why the turnover in most Tea stores dramatically declined.
Especially in Germany, which resulted in a survey, the demand for high quality tea.
In no other country in the world is the quality awareness of
tea drinkers as pronounced as in Germany!
Tea is not only a popular beverage, but also an important economic factor. Main Distribution
has 58 percent of the Specialty Tea, currently 2. 9 percent.
In the new growth market BIO TEA corresponds to the revenue share
especially for drugstore chains, a niche market with growth rates in double figures,
Reform houses, organic shops and pharmacies, is not only the opinion of analysts
