Buying lands and properties is very exciting especially in Abuja. Abuja is a city most Nigerians would love to live in because it has very good public infrastructure.
However, when it comes to price appreciation real estate in Nigeria is pretty crazy but logically demand outweighs supply heavily and most people are very keen to their own property.
Some lands costing 16m naira in 2007 are now being sold for 70m naira in 2010.
On my recent trip to the capital, I met a few professionals in the market including developers, home owners, marketers, agents and government workers.
One point they all agreed on is that if you really want to get onto the property ladder in Abuja or find great investments then look at the developing or surrounding districts of the city.
