The Company was incorporated in August 1993 under the banner of Shahraj Fabric (Pvt) Ltd and started manufacturing Greig Fabric on Air Jet (Shuttleless) weaving machines by acquiring various textile units on lease / conversion basis. With the growing business leading to strong financial position, the Company embarked on the production of greig fabric by purchasing 52 Air Jet weaving machines in 1997 with complete back process to include complete sizing and warping machines.
This in-house production facility gave a quantum boost to the business. Genuinely encouraged by the rapid achievement, Shahraj Company purchased yet another unit under the name of Shahraj Weaving (Pvt) Ltd comprising 48 looms. With business becoming more rewarding, the Company purchased its third textile unit comprising 104 projectile Sulzer looms during the year1999 with complete back process machines.
To give a boost to our export and to ensure smooth and un-interrupted export operation, the Company under took certain pragmatic steps and extensively toured the world market. This, well thought out strategy provided the Group all times access to these markets, not only in Fabric but also in Made UPS and Home Textile items, particularly Sheet Sets. The success of this venture became self-explanatory as the export got a quantum boost during year 2001
