SANYO Airconditioners (S) Pte Ltd (SAS) was established on 25 July 1984 as a joint venture company between SANYO Asia P L and Chu Cheong Co Pte Ltd, Singapore.Prior to the establishment of SAS, SANYO Airconditioners was first assembled in 1966 by SANYO Industries (S) Pte Ltd (SIS) which is also a joint venture between SANYO Japan and Chu Cheong Co Pte Ltd, Singapore and marketed by Borneo Co Ltd. SIS took over the agency from Borneo Co Ltd on 2nd January 1976. A Sales Department was set up to handle the marketing and after sales service of airconditioners in Singapore. Due to the expansion of airconditioners demand in this market, SAS was established as an independent company on 25 July 1984 to solely deal with airconditioners sales and after-sales service. Effective 1st July 2004, SANYO Airconditioners (S) Pte Ltd provide wider services when more products like the CCTV Security System, Digital Camera, Projects and Major Home Appliances are included as part of the business Strategy.
