Indian Ocean Export Company was established in 1972 after recognizing the need for a trading house to supply products to the Indian Ocean Islands. Since then it has grown into one of the largest trading houses of its kind in South Africa.
We deal in all kinds of consumer goods, from FMCG to building materials. Our main business remains in the Indian Ocean islands where we have several companies, however we export much further afield, supplying a broad range of products to over 45 countries world-wide.
IOEC offers a range of export services. These include supplying full ranges of products to our buyers, as well as acting as the export arm for certain manufacturers, with the objective of building their brands in key markets. The company's expertise lies in our knowledge of its markets and South African products, as well as the ability to handle all aspects of the logistics of exports, marketing, merchandising and selling.
