Cosecha Extremena is a family winery founded in 2010 by Moreno Suarez brothers under an only philosophy making accessible the wine culture to everyone. The family is composed by 3 brothers who have always worked the land and 2 years ago decided to set up a winery where elaborate and sell a product which they understand so well.
Our 100 hectares of vineyards are situated in Tierra de Barros the most fertile and prosperous area of Extremadura whole. Guadiana River whose silty clay soils offers us the retention of water and nutrients adequate for, an exceptional development of the varieties we grow such as Macabeo, Montua, Pardina, in White wines, and Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Graciano and Merlot in red wines.
It is in the land where the work begins and the care of an entire growing season; monitoring and control of the vineyard from which we selected the best plots for the elaboration of our wines. We make the harvest at night for keeping the grape properties, selecting the grape two times before to be become in wine.
The careful control of every stages of production distinguish the qualities of our wines whose raw material are chosen in the optimal time to maturity and subjected to strict quality controls.
Long maceration in red wines and slow and controlled fermentation in white wines allow us to get wines with character, personality and harmony.
The winery was built on the foundations of a building from the fifties which makes up the tradition and modernity of its facilities with the last technology for the production and aging of our wines with the strictest respect for the environment throughout the process.
We have a limited production only 90.000 bottles of the best wine per year. This is the reason because we sell in HORECA and Gourmet channel, because we do not want quantity, we are looking for the best quality with a very good price.
